Saving time when using this site

There is no need to keep going back to the front page unless you want to. You can find any page by following the links at the top and bottom of the screen.

Searching

The front page search assumes every keyword you enter is a whole word, and searches for items which match all the words you enter.

If you choose a particular religion, only items matching that religion will be found.

You get some extra choices when you use the search box on the search page.

You can choose to search with parts of words;
You can choose to look for more advanced sites. (You may need help with these.)

You can also choose what type of search is done:-

a 'normal' search for everything in the database;
a special search which only looks for sites with sound files;
a special search which only looks for artefacts.

If you go to the Lists of Keywords you can see lists of the words we have used.
You can also search by clicking on any word in the list.
